In the month of March, traditional Celtic tunes echo up and down the halls during the Ceili Celtic Festival. Soak up the ethereal sounds of flutes, harps, and ancient drums as talented step-dancers sweep the stage. Impressed with the Irish music and moves? Give ‘em a whirl in an educational workshop after savoring authentic pub eats, admiring folk art, and trying out hand-carved weapons and beautiful beaded jewelry.

If classic Celtic notes aren’t your go-to genre, come back in August for the Evanston Bluegrass Festival. This day-long festival features an outstanding lineup of up-and-coming bluegrass artists. Fire up the fiddle, bass, and banjo, then fill your bags at the Bluegrass Bazaar and feast on some down-home food.

Exploring Evanston, Wyoming, throughout the week? If you’re in town between July and October, the Evanston Farmers Market is set up at the Depot Square every Thursday evening. Mingle with local farmers and find fresh fruits and vegetables, meet makers and uncover their handcrafted goods, and even enter a raffle drawing or two!
 
Also in July is the ever-popular Evanston Brew Fest. Hosted in Downtown Evanston, this lively festival brings out craft brewers from all around the region! Take a taste of delicious local beers, bite into bar burgers, and vibe to live music all night long. In recent years, more than 25 breweries have been represented—offering over 60 unique beers for sampling!

Experience The American West

Step into simpler times at the Bear River Rendezvous, when hunting, trapping, and primitive skills were essential to survival. Set up at Bear River State Park; this for-families event offers an escape from hectic circumstances and an opportunity for old-fashioned fun! Shoot black powder rifles, check out old-time wares like pelts and leather crafts, and discover what life was like for indigenous people and mountain men.

What’s a visit to Evanston, Wyoming, without experiencing the “Biggest Little Rodeo in the World”? First arranged by ranchers to boost tourism after the Great Depression, Cowboy Days deemed the town a desirable destination. Watch big-name bull riders at the rodeo and experience the spirit of Evanston during this three-day celebration of the Wild West and the American cowboy.
